The castle ruin in Vuorz

Posted on März 25th, 2014

In the Swiss region Surselva you’ll find a village called Waltensburg or in the regional language Vuorz, don’t ask me how to spell it :).
With an easy walk you can reach this ruins nearby. They are telling about times long ago, the good old times where you can clear difficult situations with a small mace.
Today the only weapon you can use is a canon, a Canon 5DmkII or similar.

Roses in the night

If I’m in a city I can’t resist to go for a nightly photowalk, so I did it in the beautiful German city Weinheim. There is nice castle in middle of down town and directly behind it is the wonderful castle garden. There are people walking around, sitting there, drinking beer or what ever and have a loud dispute about their relationship. And they won’t go away for long time. Therefore I used my usual technique to remove people out of my images by taking several shots. At the end, I have a clean empty garden with roses, stars and a castle in the background.

The enchanted castle

Posted on Januar 25th, 2014

There were rumors about a castle, deep in the wood, nobody knows exactly about it. Good reason to pack my gear and my boots for a hike thru the spinney. Armed with our tripods, we fighted against thick brushwood until we saw deep in the wood this beautiful castle. It was an especially night were you could see Venus, Jupiter and the Moon near together. It seems they were shining down to this enchanted place to set the castle in the right light.
For this image I needed 12 images with different shutterspeed over 6EV.
