An ordinary gear test

Posted on Mai 19th, 2015

Bought a new camera and went for a quick test to the nearby pond.
It was one of that day, the new camera was lying on the table and it itched me in my index finger to press the shutter. So I went for a short camera comparison to a near pond and pressed a little bored a few times the shutter.
At home I had the same shot about 100 times on my disk, because I setup all three cams with the same focal length and controlled that I had the same image part on the sensor. Then I took each time a bracked serie with all three cameras. The images where more or less the same, this one is from my Canon 6D.
It makes no sense to show images of all three cameras they look similar, so maybe someone is interested in this test image…

If the yellow light is gone

Posted on Mai 8th, 2015

First was the outerspace yellow moody light and then this.
After I thougth, so the show is ending I can go home, then the phase two was starting. The yellow bulb was replaced by a purple one. Sometimes you have the camera with you and everything is right and sometimes you can wait and wait and nothing happens.
Today there is also a thunderstorm coming, but the light is only dull and grey, therefore I can write this text without regret to stay inside the house.
Enough words, enjoy the image and the weekend :)

The picnic is over

If the light is getting yellow and more yellow, then you better pack your goods together and looking for a shelter.
It was one of this evening when the light becomes a strange color. It was so intense I beliefed I was on another planet. Everything had a yellow color tone. First I run outside for one or two cool pictures, but this strange mood stays until the sun was set.
And so I could shoot nearly half an hour and the light becomes better and better. It was really impressive to shoot on a planet with a different sun.
At the end I reached my home still dry and shortly thereafter the heavy rain shower was pattring on the roof.

Yeah! Spring is coming!

Posted on März 5th, 2015

Actually I wanted to edit another image, but then I saw the sky and I had to go for a quick photowalk.
So this image is really fresh, it’s still wet. The sky was one time more really impressing and I found some early crocus on a nearly meadow. And what should I say, it was still cold, but this signs can only mean one thing: SPRING IS COMING!!!

The cherry tree

Posted on Februar 18th, 2015

Are you boring about the dull winter weather? Don’t be sad, soon it’s spring again!
In a month is it spring time, calendar spring time. The weather spring will maybe wait a bit longer, we will see. Meantime you can enjoy this blooming cherry tree from the last spring. I love this image with all the white blossoms which are red lighted by the deep standing sun, short before the sun is setting.
But enough about the spring, for me I don’t have enough snow seen this year and I hope I can go for some alpine tours with my snow shoes and bring back a lot images of the beautiful white mountains.

At the pond

Posted on Februar 2nd, 2015

If you look out of your window and you see a red sky on the eastern sky while the sun is setting…
…then you know, you have to snap your camera and run! And I was fast enough up at the edge of the forest to get some amazing shots of a burning sky.
Mostly I’m too slow or the fireworks ends to fast, but this time I catched the light. Too late to see the sun setting but fast enough for a stunning blue hour.

Citylights

Posted on Januar 25th, 2015

Guess where the big city is? And this is the reason why you can’t see too many stars near a city.
But I took this photo near my home village a few kilometers outside of Winterthur. And the good thing was, only a few clouds and no moon at the sky. So I could see some nice stars with my new Sony A7s. This was, you can call the first light, of this camera. A small test before I had time to go to the mountains to take real test images.
But I’m also impressed of this image, because you can see so many stars near the citylights.

Fog and clouds

Posted on Januar 14th, 2015

The whole day was dull in mist and at the end when the fog was lighten up, there were also clouds in the sky.
It was a boring winter day without light and it was cold and I couldn’t see the sun. Even at the end there was this tree directly between me and the sun. There are days without light and colors only gloomy sadness… what do you mean? This is a colorful winter image? Hmm, now after you said, I can see it too :)

Winter forest

Posted on Januar 11th, 2015

After the winter is already over, time to grab an archive image of better days.
It was a beautiful day, nearly no clouds in the sky, but very cold and foggy during the night. Therefore all the trees were covered with hoar frost. And at the end of the day, the floor fog was lighten up and I could see the setting sun through the trees. The golden sunlight was combined with the blue frosty tones.

A last sunset

Posted on Januar 1st, 2015

This was it, the absolutely last one. The very last sunset of 2014.
After my snowdance in the alps, the snow was coming. And how it was coming. It is long time ago were we had so much snow here in the flatlands. But it is so amazing, I can use my snowshoes to walk with my dog. I can walk across over the meadows which are covered with a thick layer of snow. The landscape is so beautiful now.
And in the middle of a meadow I turned me araound and saw the sun a very last time in 2014, because it was the 31th of Dezember so yesterday :)
With this stunning firework tooks the sun leave the last year and therefore I wish all of you a very good start in the new year 2015!
